Isle of Gigha - a little Gem!

We decided to go to the tiny Isle of Gigha that has set itself up with some walking routes and a small campsite by the ferry as well as Achamore Gardens.

A bit chilly on the ferry

We were met with beautiful sandy beaches everywhere! If only it was a bit warmer they would be great for a swim.

A lovely walk around the southern shore of the island and through the Achamore Gardens. Gigha's standing stones are a bit like the island - very small!

The north end of Gigha before we left back to the Kintyre peninsular.

Fishermans Cave has some very old Graffiti, dating back to 1822 that we saw but we think even earlier.

Applecross and The Pass of the Cattle

We left Poolewe and headed to Applecross for the night before heading over the mountain pass (Pass of the Cattle) the next day.

Walk from Beinn Eighe Visitor Centre

There were Red Deer everywhere!

After a cold night we drove over the pass in sleet with temperatures just above zero. Luckily though, there was not much traffic (it is very narrow) so we had a lovely drive!

Coming back down the other side

We are now heading south to the Kintyre Peninsular but not sure where to go next - Islay or Gigha.

Stop over at beautiful Glencoe
